The “Alaturi de Voi” Romania Foundation is a non-governmental organization, established in February 2002 by Holt International Children’s Service USA, whose mission is the insertion of HIV-positive people and from other groups at risk. The national headquarters of the foundation is in Iasi, with centers in Constanta and Tg. Mures.
For over 12 years, ADV Romania developed over 50 projects/programs, of which one is still being continued through the financings offered by international organisms, local authorities and own funds. The programs are developed at local, regional, national and trans-national level and are mainly in the social field. Lately, a special focus has been placed on the development of social economy structures in view of the insertion of disabled people. In parallel, we developed the component of lobby and advocacy for supporting the NGO sector, for promoting and defending the rights of our direct beneficiaries – disabled people, including people with HIV/AIDS.
ADV will participate in all project activities: the preparatory research on the local situation regarding civic engagement, attending the EU partner meetings in Italy, Romania and Ireland, hosting the EU partner meeting in Iasi and participate in the development of the Citizens Portal and other dissemination e-tools.
