The participants of the seminar were some of the representatives of ENSIE’s members. ENSIE (European Network of Social Integration Enterprises) unites national and regional networks of Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs). There were 22 participants, representing 15 national and regional networks and 12 different European countries. The speaker, the ENSIE’s director, Patrizia Bussi, talked about the project, its aims, activities and expected results. In particular she talked about the portal and the idea to develop this new methodology for engaging the civic participation of citizens from disadvantaged area, thus the disadvantaged workers of WISEs, in influencing the local policies. The final idea is to engage these people in a participative democracy. The participants agreed on this idea especially because many WISEs try to build participative and democratic management, as stated in the social economy principles. The participants promised to visit the portal and give their opinion. They also promised to disseminate it through their contacts.
